Atlanta Center for Self Sufficiency, Inc. (ACSS) is committed to breaking the cycle of homelessness in metro Atlanta and beyond. Every morning, nearly 7,000 people in Atlanta wake up with no place to call home. It is a sad and troubling statistic, but there is new cause for hope. ACSS empowers homeless individuals to achieve economic self sufficiency and their ultimate potential to thrive in life.
The nonprofit was created from a merger of two innovative and powerful organizations with similar missions – Samaritan House of Atlanta and Atlanta Enterprise Center – and is now working to more effectively and efficiently fight homelessness in Atlanta.
ACSS is led under the direction and leadership of Mr. Charles R. Edwards – president and CEO.
